Noya Rao Teachings Part 1

Last October I completed a month long self-led Dieta with Noya Rao in which I was extremely blessed to receive a cutting of the root of the tree and leaves to prepare my own medicine from scratch as well as some prepared from my Shipibo Maestro! For those unfamiliar, Noya Rao is an extremely rare tree used by some lineages of the Shipibo Tribe in the Amazon for shamanic healing purposes, known as "the tree of light" or "the way, the truth, and the light", and it's leaves glow in the dark! I've heard that the tree in the Avatar movies that acted as the source of all life was based on its image.

This was in so many ways the deepest and most challenging Dieta experience I have ever gone through, the process was simultaneously the darkest and heaviest energy I have had to witness and transform, and the most physical and emotional pain I have felt, as well as bringing the states of the most intense joy and bliss, and a self/universal love so intense I thought at times my heart and body were going to burst and couldn't hold it

I will share about the process itself as a short series, for so long I was hesitant to publicly talk about my plant medicine experiences surrounding "dark" energies such as indigenous witchcraft and what I can only refer to as demonic beings/entities, but as I have done so it seems many experience these things to different extents and are somehow comforted and feel less crazy by receiving my sharing.

It is difficult to summarize Noya Rao's teachings (in my personal Dieta experience) but overall it was this:

--No vile act, person, or being is truly separate from God or undeserving of compassion and forgiveness

--Detachment is one way of becoming emotionally and mentally stable, in surrendering to and accepting all the painful and blissful emotions and experiences as they come in the moment, letting go of the fear of painful states remaining or the fear of blissful states leaving

--Approach life, your spiritual path, and plant medicine with the playful curiosity and observation of a young child who knows nothing

--Trust and surrender will lead you through the other side of any healing process, no matter the level of density or insanity

--All people and astral energies ultimately desire love, being witnessed and accepted as they are, compassion, and liberation/integration with Source/God/Creator

--Like the wind, every moment of this human experience is constantly shifting and changing

--Creator/God/source makes no distinctions, judgements, or analyzes what is good, bad, positive, or negative

--Duality is inescapable in this reality, even on a cosmic level there is an infinitely expanding universe/creation simultaneously existing with black holes, anti matter, "voids", and destruction

These last two were very unexpected as I was raised Catholic/Christian and grew to absolutely despise, reject, and avoid dogmatic religion for many years...I still don't consider myself to identify with either of them in the ways they are presented in modern society and religious practices

--Many biblical stories and teachings are true on some level, as distorted as they have become through alterations, bad translations, and misinterpretation

--The consciousness of and energy of Jesus Christ is very real and something that lives inside all of us, waiting for us to connect to and embody it
