Plant Medicine Integration Coaching
What is Integration and Why is it Important?
Integration has a different meanings depending on who you ask, in my understanding and application, plant medicine integration is taking time and space after ceremonial and dieta work to unpack what happened in ceremonies/retreats/dietas--to understand the visions, thought forms, emotions, and belief patterns that were arising some time beforehand, during, and in the time after when you are usually in a more raw, vulnerable, and open space.

It is also a process of anchoring and applying the wisdom, teachings, or insights you were given by the plants and empowering yourself to continue to make the changes needed in your mind, your relationships, life, etc to maintain the energetic, mental, and emotional shifts that occur during or after ceremony. I've often heard it said that plant medicine work is only 10% the time spent in the ceremony itself and 90% of how well one is able to apply what they were given in the years after, and I very much agree with the sentiment. '
These plants create powerful shifts on all levels of our being and challenge us to continue shedding and identifying layers of un-serving patterns, destructive habitual tendencies and behaviors and shifting our mindset and relationships to ground these shifts into our daily lives. They encourage us to deepen our level of self-awareness and create stability in our emotional and mental state from day to day.

What arises in these spaces can be any range of scary, humiliating, confusing, expansive, mind-blowing, and any number of other descriptors. It is common to feel alone in your process or that few people would understand when you try to talk about it, particularly with friends or family, to feel confused or stuck, or to have difficulty interpreting the visions you are given. Many people have also shared with me that it can be difficult to seek support with plant experiences from Western healthcare professionals who do not have direct experience and reference for what commonly occurs during and after these spaces.

I am not a licensed mental health professional, and these sessions are not considered mental health care. My approach to integration is based in experience assisting many dozens of my clients through their integration process following ceremonies and dietas, a decade of navigating my own process, drawing on all of the tools I have learned over the last 15 years of exploring plant medicines and various healing modalities, and my own connection with the plants and spirit.

What Does an Integration Session Look Like?
The form and evolution of these sessions is highly specific to the individual and the process. Generally I listen in full presence for the first half of a session as a compassionate and non-judgmental witness and tune into the process you are going through. In the later half I will give perspective and feedback if desired or ask specific questions to dive deeper into an aspect of something you have shared.
I focus on individually tailored inquiry to gently guide you to your own clarity and answers and use my intuitive connection to the plants to tap into shadow aspects, fears, and resistances behind your words. Often the plants will guide me to share somatic or meditation practices to assist you in more deeply connecting with your mind and body, and "downloaded" journaling prompts, homework, or action steps that will help you to "do the work" outside of ceremony and apply the wisdom that is being imparted to you.

I begin with one hour long call to get an understanding of what you are navigating and to mutually feel our resonance and alignment before asking for a minimal commitment of 4 sessions over 3 months. Each session builds on the last and is guided by what you have done since the previous call. I have found in my own personal journey that having someone guide me through the integration process helped me to take accountability for my part of the healing and meet the plants halfway, and resulted in much more stability in the long term.
