Feminine Business

This is for all you wellness/spiritually oriented practitioners in my network as something to reflect on and consider, and I would love to hear your perspective! I realized in a recent Dieta that all of my work I share is centered around feminine plant medicines, meaning in the way I connect with them, Rose, Cacao, Bobinsana, and Ayahuasca are strongly oriented toward receptivity, flow, presence, creative energy, and surrender.

I have always struggled with the masculine aspect of being a "business owner", and sometimes that phrase makes me cringe inside. When it comes to being consistent in what I offer and the way I offer it, approaching my marketing in a structured way, going into the analytical side of the work I do--who it is meant for, the problems it solved, how to word my offerings to speak to this, etc. has always felt very unnatural to me. I am not saying a purely masculine approach is invalid, or finding the balance between them, but for me and my line of work this is what I've come to.

It hit me that I am a woman, I am a cyclical being by my very biology, and when my work is centered around feminine plants, it is only natural that my business model would reflect this. The most natural and authentic approach to sharing my work has always been a deep surrender to the flow of the cycle of my own personal life and state of being. When I am moving through a shift in my personal process, it feels more aligned to rest, to focus internally and give myself the space for the "recalibration"--accepting that time period is one of self care, deeper learning, and filling my cup, listening to the way my work wants to express in the near future based on this recalibration.

When I feel empowered, inspired, and full of love and energy that wants to be shared, I more actively promote my work from this place of alignment with my spirit and passion. I have noticed when I try to do this just to do it in a time of recalibration, no one feels called to my work.

I have learned to simply tune into the plants that I work with, and my own internal state if being and feel which of my offerings are most aligned at the time. What fills me with a feeling of expansion and excitement when I picture doing it? I focus on this, allowing the words of my writing in a promotional post to flow from this space. This is how I have attracted my favorite clients, and those who have the deepest transformations from the work we share. When it is done from this place of truly listening and receiving, they come effortlessly in the most magical and synchronous ways.

When I approach my marketing from a more traditional, masculine energy, I feel pressured, tense in my body, stressed out, in my mind, and disconnected from my passion and essence. I feel this energy is conveyed in my words, and thus when I promote my work from this place, it seems it doesn't resonate with anyone. This surrender and trust in the alignments orchestrated by spirit and the plants is a continually unfolding process for me. If you are a business owner in the healing and coaching field, I would love to hear and learn from your perspective below or through my contact form!
